Venice is bathed in the golden light of the lagoon as the sun slowly sets, looking at the Grand Canal and its teaming life resembles a painting by Tintoretto.

Venice and it’s islands on the lagoon with their timeless stillness seem to float on the water. This is the feeling you get when you cross the lagoon by boat at sunset to dine at the Locanda Cipriani on the island of Torcello or explore hidden beaches and remote monasteries where monks still prepare herbal essences. Or you could visit the island of Sant’Erasmo to taste the only wine that is grown and produced in the lagoon. Far from the crowds of Piazza San Marco there is still a secret Venice to be discovered outside of the tourist routes.

Following the secondary canals you find your way to quieter shores where you can always find a small cozy bacaro to drink a glass of wine accompanied by a shot and taste the best of local products.
